Participative Methodology

It is difficult to dare to think, but not to think is worse.

The teaching method used by ICAMI is the Participative Methodology.

In the participative methodology, in contrast to other learning styles, the participants are not simple receivers, but rather they become active agents in the creation and management of knowledge.

This methodology implies:

  • Reasoned learning pursues the objective of forcing the participant to understand through the application of his intelligence more than by the exercise of memory.
  • Dialogue geared toward forcing the participant to think.
  • Always make reality the starting point, seeking objectivity.
  • Start with the experience of the people, in order to seek new forms of behavior.

The Case Method

Although the capacity for resolving complex problems is innate, it is something that must be developed and perfected.

The Case Method, used successfully by the world’s top business schools, is a teaching system based on reasoning, in which the participant discovers, through successive case studies, the business of managing people and organizations.

It notably enhances the participant’s capacities of analysis and synthesis of the information used in effective and efficient, substantiated decision-making.

  • Each participant studies the materials individually.
  • His conclusions are contrasted with those of others through team-work.
  • Under the guidance of a professor, the participants discuss the problem in the general session, new alternatives and actions to be taken are suggested, considering also, the consequences of their implementation.

The participant learns this process by contributing value adding solutions for the company.
